Your reading list is impressive! I'm a very slow reader, so I think it's a huge achievement to manage to read so much! And I feel you about the escapism--may 2024 be much better! (Although I find it comforting somehow, to know that I can try to hide from reality by re-reading favourite books...)

Absolutely. I haven't reread Lord of the Rings for a long time, but I always know it's there if I ever need emergency comfort reading and have nothing lined up.
